I’m a science filmmaker and PhD researcher who loves finding out things, teaching, public speaking and doing creative projects.
Right now I’m doing a PhD looking at the social impacts and consequences of modern heroes of science. Over the last 2 years I’ve been around the world interviewing some of the top scientists and communicators of our times, including David Attenborough, David Suzuki, Paul Davies and many Nobel Laureates.
Over the last few years I’ve also worked on lots of fascinating science communication projects, including:
* Leading the world’s Largest Simultaneous Jump (as part of the UK’s Science Year campaign)
* MC’ing international video conferences and events, which link people around the world to some of the latest developments in science
* Running a network for emerging science filmmakers
* Creating experimental short films which deal with science and technology. One of my films, Robot World, even won a 2009 Scinema award!
…and lots of other fun stuff.
